“As the work on our two new units in Elizabeth Bay is effectively finished, we will be departing for Canada shortly. I wanted to take the occasion to thank you on behalf of the owners of Kincoppal and the former members of the strata committee executive. Who were closely involved with the project from the early days.

As a general comment, I would have to say that you were always a pleasure to work with. Your openness, honesty and good humour were much appreciated by all.

Your online construction management system was extremely helpful in monitoring progress without having to interrupt your work onsite, or the architect. This was particularly helpful to me during my absences in Canada in both 2020 and 2021. Which turned out to be much longer than anticipated due to covid related travel problems.

I must say that your strengths, and the benefits of working with you, really came to the fore when all the consequences of the pandemic set in. You were very fair and accommodating in coming to an agreement on sharing the costs of the initial shutdown.

Your commitment to the job in the face of material shortages and delays. As well as shortages of workers and subcontractors were very impressive. You were always finding a way of getting things done rather than making excuses.

In the end, when delays couldn’t be avoided and the demands and behaviour of the client group were not always reasonable. You maintained your standards in providing an excellent product. This is in spite of the serious cost and schedule pressures you were facing. No contractor I have ever worked with would have remained as committed as you did.”
